I hired JPC Event Group for more than just catering. They did my linens, flowers, brought in the chairs and tables that we needed, and did amazing food.
Our favorite part of their catering, and why we chose to hire them, was their innovative and modern food displays. They also offered local and sustainable food choices that really excited us.
We had stations at our reception that were attended by their chefs and meant our guests really enjoyed freshly prepared food. That was very important to us as we are both foodies, so we wanted to hear all night how great the food we chose to serve was, and we did.
At the end of the reception they did a really neat french fry bar with regular fries and sweet potato fries and all kinds of seasonings and toppings served in pretty paper cones. That was a big hit!
How everything was presented. Alot of attention to detail with props that matched our book theme to our wedding.
They made our cake and it was so good and so pretty. We also served a mini martini of their blood orange gelato that they make.
Favorite part of wedding day catering? I loved that JPC took the time to assign a staff member to us during photographs to ensure we got drinks and appetizers. You pick all this wonderful food out and rarely do the bride and groom even get to taste it. They made sure we did.
How was food presented at the wedding reception? Cocktail hour? After-party? Brunch? We chose a cocktail appetizer hour with a display and things carried around by their staff, and then we did a family style dinner that our guests really enjoyed because they didn't have to wait in a buffet line.
Most creative part of your wedding day catering? You can not beat the quality or beauty of the JPC displays. They have such unique ways of presenting things, and really great equipment that they bring that is no extra cost. We really liked that they were unique.
Favorite wedding dessert? Jody made our wedding cake and it was both gorgeous and yummy. We had lemon with lemon curd and raspberry puree, and then chocolate fudge with raspberry truffle. Then we also had cheesecake pops and "Pantry Popcorn" which was caramelized for our guests as they left. JPC calls it a sweet ending. and it was.
Favorite part of wedding day catering? My favorite part of our wedding day catering was the themed action stations that Jody and Rick created for our Valentine's Day wedding. All of the food was "candy and roses" themed with great names and the concept was really enjoyed by our guests.
How was food presented at the wedding reception? Cocktail hour? After-party? Brunch? The food was displayed with alot of flair. They did amazing centerpieces out of candy, flowers, mosses and natural elements. The table tops were covered with rose petals under glass and then the food was displayed on top of that. It was so unique and appropriate for Valentines.
Most creative part of your wedding day catering? We wanted a Valentine's Day wedding that wasn't tacky. They gave us that by incorporating our theme but in ways that were elegant and trendy. We had lamb lolipops, dilled salmon lolipops, cotton candy cosmos-- alot of the food was themed after the "candy and roses" Valentine's day theme we worked with.
Favorite wedding dessert? Well-- that would be hands down our wedding cake as Jody is known for her fabulous wedding cakes. We had chocolate fudge with peanut butter cup truffle filling and chocolate chip wtih snickers and caramel butterfudge filling to follow our candy theme. She also made chocolate fudge raspberry petite fours, and heart shaped baby creme brulees for our dessert station.
