- Lots of wedding dresses & tuxedos? Ask about your wedding style? Trunk show? Discounts? A friend of my mom's recommended the House of Brides after her daughter had found a dress there the previous year. I'd been to three other bridal salons before trying the House of Brides, and the dresses at the other salons had been fine--pretty close to what I'd been thinking of but none of them jumped out at me. I went to the House of Brides with my mom, my maid of honor and her mom (my second mother, basically). When I tried on my second dress at the House of Brides, all of them teared up. It was the first time my mom had gotten emotional at any dress I tried on! It was exactly what I'd been picturing and at a far better price than any of the dresses at the other salons. Even better, the associate helping us (Marian) suggested a headpiece and veil. Once I had the entire look on, I knew that was how I wanted to look at my wedding.
- Wedding dress or tux alterations or customization needed? What kind? I also had alterations done there, and everything fit perfectly and looked impeccable. The dress didn't need massive alterations, but any changes were well-executed and Diane made sure there were no lose seams or beads. She taught my maid-of-honor to bustle and we had no problems on the day of the wedding at all.
- Purchase wedding accessories (think shoes, tiaras, jewelry, lingerie, tie, pocket square, cufflinks)? What kind? Almost all of my accessories (veil, shoes, necklace/bracelet and bra) came from the House of Brides as well because everything looked great, was the right price, and Marian and Lynda made fantastic suggestions.
- Recommend this bridal shop or tuxedo rental? What did you love most? At every visit following, the women at the House of Brides were so helpful and so excited for me. They have a true understanding of style and do everything they can to match the bride to her right dress/accessories. The House of Brides team is the perfect combination of talent and professionalism. The House of Brides has been in business for years because they know brides. No matter what your style or budget, I'm confident that the women at House of Brides will be able to help you find a fantastic dress that you'll be excited to wear. I know I loved wearing mine!
