- Due to having a destination wedding we had reservations using an officiant we didn’t know, but after our initial Skype video interview we signed on the dotted line. With our daily full schedules we were able to easily correspond with Joanie via e-mail. We knew we wanted to combine the elements of the Jewish religion with our personal beliefs. Joanie provided several examples of interfaith ceremonial to choose from that adhered to our desires. Wedding day went better than expected. Both tears and laughs were shared by all. Thank you Joanie!

- How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? Joanie Levine was our wedding officiant and helped us tailor our perfect ceremony: short, sweet, spiritual (but non-religious) with moments of levity and laughter. We met with her several times before the wedding, including a rehearsal, to work out all the wording and details until it felt just right. We wanted something a bit different, and Joanie’s unique personality and eclectic background was an absolute match for us. She adds a warm spirit and a grounding presence, guiding you through the whole process and ceremony with intuition and experience (which helped as we were freaking out!) Highly recommended.
- Favorite wedding ceremony comment from guests? Our last line..."you may now kiss the groom!" was a hit.

- Wedding officiant make you comfortable? Why or why not? Joanie and Yehudah performed a wonderful interfaith and inter-nationality ceremony for us during the summer of 2011. They were great to work with as we wove together Jewish, Christian, American, and Caribbean traditions into one coherent ceremony (all while keeping it short and sweet!). We were also able to put together a ceremony that pleased both our religious and non-religious friends and family. We would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a highly customized, completely personal wedding ceremony. Their experience provides enough structure to ease the ceremony development process along, while retaining enough flexibility to let the personality of the couples to truly shine through. You won’t be disappointed!

- Wedding officiant make you comfortable? Why or why not? Joanie took our last minute wedding and made it calm and collected. She provided us with great options over the phone and was well prepared on our wedding day even though we were not, her calmness was much appreciated through the chaos of the day.
- How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? We had options given o us that fit our needs and we were allowed to customize them and add a personal message as well. We had no idea where to begin until we found Joanie!

- Wedding officiant make you comfortable? Why or why not? I really appreciated how Yehuda and Joanie gave us structure and guidance without any pressure to follow any certain way or recommendation.
- What did the officiant or clergy add that was unexpected? They helped us stay on task with the timeline of creating our ceremony via gentle reminders and support.
- How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? They gave us ideas and we created the ceremony which was just what we wanted. We incorporated Jewish and non-traditions traditions and customized our vows to speak directly to each other and to our loved ones. We added an element of audience participation.

- Wedding officiant make you comfortable? Why or why not? Joanie and Yehudah made us feel comfortable at ever step of the way by encouraging us to pursuit whatever we wished for our wedding experience. While they were able to provide suggestions and guidance, they didn't have any rules or limitations, and were encouraging of our unique and creative ideas.
- What did the officiant or clergy add that was unexpected? I wasn't expecting to be able to help write the entire ceremony. As someone who is a planner and likes to be "hands on" I really appreciated having that input.
- How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? We added a few words to the ceremony that emphasized our values and the time and place where the ceremony was held. We also wrote our own vows.
- Favorite wedding ceremony comment from guests? During the ceremony, my husband and I were facing each other, not the officiant. That way we could look at each other, the officiant, and at our guests. Our guests liked it how we occasionally looked out onto the crowd.

- Wedding officiant make you comfortable? Why or why not? We felt very comfortable with Joanie. She invited us into her home and asked us questions about our relationship and history in order to create the perfect ceremony for us. When my mom came to meet Joanie a month latershe immediately felt warm towards her. We met Joani several times through out the year and each was filled with interesting `conversation and an in depth look into our ceremony.
- What did the officiant or clergy add that was unexpected? There were a couple of funny unexpected moments during our ceremony and Joanie went along gracefully!!
- How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? We wrote our own vows. We invited a couple of our friends to come up and share readings. We created our own processional. We took pieces from several different templates that Joanie presented to us. We incorporated traditions from my family's culture along with choosing some beautiful traditions from other cultures. We all laughed during the ceremony, and I feel, with the help of Joanie, made a truly authentic human experience.
- Favorite wedding ceremony comment from guests? There are too many to come up with on. We got so much positive feedback. Everyone said in some way or another that the ceremony truly reflected us and that Joanie did an amazing job at facilitating a touching and humor filled wedding ceremony!

- Wedding officiant make you comfortable? Why or why not? Both Joanie and Yehudah made us feel comfortable. We got to know them over a nice couple visits and we both felt confident that our ceremony would be wonderful. Initially, we met them at their house and felt like they were some family friends or a favorite aunt and uncle.
- What did the officiant or clergy add that was unexpected? Nothing. I didn't want anything unexpected, enough of that happens planning for the wedding as it is. They were helpful and thourough, we had the ceremony we wanted without worries.
- How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? We wrote our own vows and included many traditions into the ceremony to make it our own. We included poetry and ritual, involved our guests and it was definitely a representation of our spiritual and familial beliefs.
- Favorite wedding ceremony comment from guests? Many said it was the most beautiful ceremony they had every seen. Emotional and real, down to earth but uplifting. We surprised many people with how meaningful a ceremony can be.

- Wedding officiant make you comfortable? Why or why not? Joan Levine was wonderful. She is warm, caring and has an easy smile. She listened carefully to everything my daughter and son-in-law conveyed regarding their hopes and wishes for their wedding. She met with Erica and Dennis several times over the year.
- What did the officiant or clergy add that was unexpected? There was nothing added that was not expected. Erica and Dennis had a very clear idea of the kind of ceremony they wanted. Joan listened and then made several suggestions which they incorporated. It was perfect!
- How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? Joan recommended a sand and pebble ceremony. a palming ceremony and an Irish blessing to be read at the ceremony's conclusion. All were beautiful and meaningful. Erica and Dennis also wrote their own vows. Every time they watch the video of the ceremony they are touched at how exquisitely it captures who they are individually and how they relate as a couple.
