- I was kissing my new wife and got oohs and aahs from the "audience"...she raised her bouquet in front of us and the photographer snapped it.
- The photographer was never in the way, we hardly noticed he was there during the ceremony and the reception. He snapped away continuously - which meant he got action shots and candids, etc - and we already knew he had a good eye for good photo opportunity so we could carry-on with the festivities and not even worry. What was especially pleasing was that he caught all aspects of the wedding - speeches, food, dancing, ceremony, portraits, preparations - he covered everything. Not once did we find ourselves saying "I wish he had photographed.....". With regards to creativity, he definitely thought outside the box. For example, there were many mirrors at the venue which he used to try and capture different angles and during the first dance, he did a 360 shot. We would have liked to expand on his creativity by using the grounds of the venue, however, it was an evening wedding during winter! So the photographer was limited to inside the venue. During the portraits he was very active in getting everyone together and making sure we had all the shots we had requested and he had an excellent eye for making sure people were positioned well - hands, feet, height, etc. - and he chose the sight for the portraits which turned out to be excellent.
- The photographer was the first at the venue so that he could photograph people arriving and the preparations of the room. My wife was particularly pleased with this as he also captured the bridal preparations which for her was a very special time. Since the photographer also played another role during our ceremony, he ensured that he had a back-up photographer so that no important moments were missed. There was availability for an online album and a printed album but we went with the simplest package and chose to just have a dvd of all the photos. Our engagement was short therefore, we did not need save-the-date or engagement pictures, but they were also available.
- We had worked with this photographer on a previous occasion and so we were already familiar with his style of photography which is why we went to him for our wedding pictures. Before agreeing to photograph the wedding, we discussed what our expectations were and what he was able to provide. Therefore on the day, we could relax knowing that the capturing of our day was safely in his hands. When taking a posed shot, he did not make the subject wait long or keep rearranging positions so the subject did not get uncomfortable and with his friendliness he kept the mood light so the subjects felt at ease. If you are looking for an excellent photo quality, inobtrusive, full coverage, affordable capturing of your special day, then this photographer is the one for you!
