  • My husband's favorite photo was the one taken of me on the front porch after the wedding ceremony. My favorite photos were all the candid shots of the wedding details, such as the hand painted center pieces that my mother-in-law made for us, the back yard all lite up and ready for the ceremony to start, and the floating candles in the swimming pool. It is so hard to pick only one photo as my favorite, but if I had to pick just one, it would be the one of my 3 year old niece, the flower girl, with her fingers in her mouth. She sucks her 2 middle fingers whenever she is tired. This photo offers a glimpse into the emotions of a 3 year old toddler, and captures her spirit, reminding the family of a habit she's had since birth. Her mother has tried to break the habit for a couple of years, but no luck so far. This photo is a loving reminder of her and incredible personality.
  • Stevie was awesome! Most of the time, I never even knew she was there. Stevie was comfortable her environment and was able to move around as she chose to in order to get the best shots. One of the male guests in the wedding party was abrupt and inpatient with Stevie while she was trying to pose the groomsmen. Stevie remained professional, in control, and was unruffled by the situation and continued to get the photos she needed. I didn't think a photographer could offer so much support on my wedding day. One of the concerns for a photographer is making sure that the bride and the bridal party's make-up will show up on film. I mistakingly decided not to hire a professional to apply my make-up. I was trying to do it all myself. I was so nervous and feeling so rushed, that I couldn't take my time and apply my make-up correctly. Stevie could see that I was a mess, and she stepped in and fixed my make-up for me. I was finally able to relax a little and not feel so stressed. Nothing like kicking yourself 15 minutes before the ceremony for not hiring a make-up artist!
  • I did not choose a package. I spoke to Stevie on the phone and told her what I had planned for a wedding. We discussed my budget and she worked with me so that I could afford to have the photos I wanted. I chose to have two photographers photographing my wedding and I'm glad I did. I love photo journalism and these are the kinds of shots I wanted. Having two photographers helped to get the great unposed photos I wanted.
  • Everyone loved Stevie! She was so nice and she just felt like a part of the family. I really liked having a woman as a photographer because I knew that she understood what a big day it was for me, no matter how small the ceremony. It also helped me to feel more comfortable sitting in my robe getting ready and being photographed. I was able to relax for the photos and not feel so self conscious.

  • What was your favorite wedding photo? Stevie set up some beautiful shots...stunning, really...but our favorites are the sweet, private moments she captured. Frankly, there are too many to narrow it down to just one.
  • How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits? I can't believe she captured as many private moments as she did, as I don't ever remember being distracted by her or feeling she was intruding on us or our guests. She took some shots in the street that are amazing and succeeded in capturing the energy of the Second Line, which was hard to do.
  • What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers? We opted for a basic package that had Stevie and her assistant with us for 6 hours and she provided nearly 400 pictures (which we're opting to have put on a DVD), a credit towards our selection and 4 free developed pictures of our choice. Considering the outrageous price tag for most wedding photographers, Stevie, her fun but professional attitude, amazing talent and reasonable investment were a breathe of fresh air!
  • How did the photographer make you and family comfortable? Stevie was having fun with us (or made us believe she was :)) and that kept us all relaxed and in the moment. I never worried whether she was going to be around to capture a particular moment and yet, never really noticed her at all -- a good thing!! Her shots of the wedding party are stunning and the few poses she set my husband and I up for look effortless and amazingly beautiful! None of the shots feel posed, even if they were. She did a fantastic job capturing the essence of the day and making us all look as happy and full of love as we were. Bravo!

  • What was your favorite wedding photo? The close up side view that she did in sepia tone. My favorite picture of my self of ALL time!
  • How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits? Well.. first of all she's physically tiny so she fits in to little nooks and crannies where you dont even see her! LOL. She is assertive when she needs to be (getting the right people together and positioning everyone) but also manages to get candid shots that you're suprised she got. We had a second line parade and so there were plenty of outstanding creative action shots.
  • What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers? Stevie will create any package you like. I asked for 6 hours photography including a bridal session before the wedding and to follow us 13 blocks thru the French Quarter. She is including a CD of all the final pictures.
  • How did the photographer make you and family comfortable? She has a great sense of humor and fit in well with our family and friends. She was enthusiastic and not at all stuffy or pretentious. She's a very likeable person. I think Stevie Ramos will be a prominent New Orleans photographer within the next few years...Im glad we booked early!
