- My favorite photo… that’s a tough choice!! I think I would have to be the one of my husband (Rheal) and I at the church, as we were getting into the receiving line. I recall that Rheal and I were trying to position ourselves by the door to receive our guests - and that were so happy! In the photo, we are both looking at each other with total excitement, huge grins on our faces. The picture captured us right in the middle of this exchange. Its amazing that Kobus & Wrobel were able to catch that exact moment, and the emotion that it contained.
- In our pre-wedding hunt for photographers, what set Kobus & Wrobel apart was the artistic quality of their photographs. Their pictures seemed candid, with a unique perspective. Even the traditionally posed shots seemed animated and alive. I think that candid/action shots are their strength - which the first thing we noticed about their portfolio. It was amazing to see our own wedding photos having that same beautiful liveliness we had hoped for pre-wedding! I was surprised at the angles and expressions Kobus & Wrobel were able to get – especially because I rarely noticed them in the places I would image they’d need to be to capture such shots. Its such an awesome feeling to be able to re-live our wedding day through our pictures!!! And to be able to share them with others.
- When we looked at the photos, I was excited to see that there were so many great shots… we couldn’t help but want them ALL! I didn’t expect to have so many good pics to choose from. We had opted to not do Engagement photos (however, in retrospect I would have liked to do them). We ended up going with a wedding package including two wedding photographers, and photos throughout the ceremony & reception. We ended up ordering a DVD of digital copies as well. We also decided to do pre-wedding “getting ready” photos for the bride and groom individually – which turned out to have some incredible shots! Since Rheal and I did not see each other on the day of the wedding (before the ceremony that is), it was really cool to see each other preparing in pictures.
- We rarely noticed Kobus & Wrobel’s presence - except of course during our posed shots. They were professional and unobtrusive – which was especially important for us during the ceremony in our (Catholic) church. They seemed very proactive about scoping out the best angles in the church and reception hall, as well as asking educated questions about the details of our ceremony, reception and preferences. They listened to what we wanted, and it felt like they really cared about getting us the shots we wanted. We were very impressed with their respectful manner – and most importantly, with our pictures!!!
