- Brandis had us shoot our bride and groom photos as well as our wedding party photos near an old shed about 3 miles from our ceremony location. It's hard for me to choose a favorite, but probably the one in front of this shed, being "dipped" by my husband!! our wedding party photos were also fantastic at this location, I am so happy she helped us choose a unique place for pictures.
- she worked ahead of time to determine a timeline that allowed the day to flow very nicely. we started with getting ready photos, then moved to an offsite location for "fun" photos (what she is known for) and then we did family photos and mostly candids the rest of the day. her suggestions really helped our day flow perfectly.
- the best thing about brandis alves photography is her price!!! she does some of the twin cities best work, at such low prices. we had included in our package: * 8 hours * 2 photographers * DVD with over 800 pictures * Rights to our print our pictures wherever and she helped us with a canvas for our living room from her professional print house. it turned out beautiful. * Engagement Photos
- brandis has such a fun, outgoing personality ... you can't help but love her. her assistant was also very easy to work with (and helpful since she "rounded up" our missing family members. shes playful with everyone yet very professional. so many of my guests commented on how she was "everywhere" all day long!!

- What was your favorite wedding photo? Wow, now that is a tough question! I truly LOVE them all!! But, if i would have to choose... one at the top of my list would have to be the wedding party photo in front of a simple red building {even though our wedding colors were black and turquoise}...proves that she knows what she's doing because it turned out amazing! It's not your traditional , everybody squeeze in, picture. Brandis arranged everyone back to back and told them to "show a little attitude", what a stunnung shot! {and tons of fun!}
- How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits? Brandis did such a wonderful job with all the pre-planning there was no need to interrupt the flow of the big day. She made sure every little detail was gone over so nothing was missed. Candid photos are absolutely my style and what I wanted most. I can't even put in to words how much Brandis exceeded my expectations of this! I still tear up when I look at the moment she captured when our adorable {5 year old} son saw his mommy for the first time that day. There isn't a single person that was more excited for mom and dad to be getting married...and Brandis caputred that through the entire day. As far as action shots...you can't beat seeing your wedding party being introduced at the reception giving each other "piggy back" rides and doing the human wheelbarrow! Thanks to her we can look back at those photos and laugh for years! We wanted as many of our photos to be taken outdoors as possible. Brandis found unique locations for us to do this. Our grandparents can't go up and down stairs very well so Brandis found a special spot where they were able to have a unique photo with us as well. Just a small example showing that Brandis will do everything she can to accommodate everyone.
- What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers? Our wedding package worked perfectly for us.... Brandis traveled to our hometown and took some of the best engagement pictures I've ever seen! We ordered them from Brandis and they were shipped right to our home. In addition to that, we went with the package that included 7 hours of outstanding photography. We also had an additional "shooter" so we could catch all the action! I would definitely plan on purchasing the DVD....it is a must have!
- How did the photographer make you and family comfortable? Brandis' personality is so fun and easygoing how can you not be comfortable around her?!! She called everyone {family and friends} by name and made sure they were all happy! I must say...i will never have anyone other than Brandis capture photos of my family and the wonderful moments ahead!

- What was your favorite wedding photo? Do I have to choose?? Every pictures was great...from some more "traditional" bridal photos, to more creative and modern shots, to the candid shots. Brandis did a great job capturing every moment as I remember. Its amazing how she finds the best spots to take pictures. Places you would never think of, she turns into fabulous photographs.
- How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits? Brandis had great instinct and followed the lead of the bridal party while "taking charge" at the same time. She knew just when to step in and just when to give some space. She fit right into the bridal party and I forgot she was even there at most times. I guess thats what gave her the ability to shoot such great candid moments! She was great at instruction for those that aren't "naturals" in front of a camera ;)
- What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers? Brandis had a great variety of packages that included all of the options listed above. One of the best decisions I made was listening to Brandis when she suggested an extra hour or two than I originally anticipated. We definitely needed it and used it. Although Brandis seems to have a knack for moving quickly and managing to take unbelievable shots, she made the point that she wants to do HER best work for US and having extra time and not rushing (you know how some bridal parties are!!!). I was so happy with the packages available and Brandis found the right one for us!
- How did the photographer make you and family comfortable? As I mentioned above, she knew where to be and when to be there. She knew the perfect amount of direction to give and how to work with the group. I have a large family and had a good size bridal party and she made it all work...quickly and efficiently...AND most importantly, my photos turned out better than imagined.
