Review: Amazing Pictures

  • I have a lot of favorites, but there are a couple pictures of just my husband and I that look like they are straight out of a magazine! All my pictures are better than I could have asked for and I love them!
  • There were a lot of candids, which is one of the reasons I went with Tom in the first place. I love the photojournalism style of photography and he is awesome at it. Both photographers were very good at getting great shots without disrupting the moment. With the portraits, he was good at making sure we got all the shots we wanted in the time frame we had.
  • The package I had included all day photography, two photographers, a DVD of all the images and an album. Originally the package included an engagement session which I was unable to do so I was able to add 5 extra pages to my wedding album as a replacement.
  • My husband and I have large families and the portrait session was less than organized on our part. Tom was very patient as we were adding shots on the spot and was great at getting everyone together quickly without being pushy. Both he and his assistant were very easy going and made everyone comfortable.

  • What was your favorite wedding photo? TWP = Thomas Ward Photography I have two favorite photos. One photo of my new husband and I. The two of us are immersed in our own world - just the two of us exist. The other photo is of our reception. Tom captures 'moments' - both photos capture how my husband and I felt about the day, each other, the experience, everything. TWP provided us with more than photos - Tom provided us with the perfect record of our wedding experience.
  • How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits? Tom became part of our family. Tom became part of our wedding party. You wouldn't really know that a photographer was around at our wedding. Though thoroughly focused on his job, Tom is an easy going photographer who makes it easy and relaxing and comfortable to work with him. At your wedding, Tom will be as visible or invisible as the bride requests. Tom listens to the bride and groom. He WILL give you the photos of your dreams. Whether they are candid shots, actions shots or portraits. Tom can do all styles and is willing and able fufill all photgraphic requests.
  • What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers? TWP's packages were such a great fit for my husband and I. We wanted two photographers - check. We wanted the right to our photos - check. We wanted a CD of images - check. On our wedding day, my husband and I did not want the pressure of a ticking clock - i.e. only having the photgrapher for a set number of hours and then trying to mush every photographic moment into those specific hours. Personally, this was a huge factor for my husband and I. TWP's packages allowed us flexibility. TWP's packages allowed us to be relaxed and natural throughout the day which in turn made our photos more 'us.' In addition to not wanting to watch the clock, my husband and I wanted value for the dollar - let's be honest - who doesn't? Do your research. TWP's packages are well priced and you WILL get every penny worth that you paid - and then some.
  • How did the photographer make you and family comfortable? Number one - Tom is confident in his ability as a photographer. He knows how to make people look their best. He knows how to pick amazing locations. Tom knows what he is doing. This makes a bride feel comfortable. I just planned and completed my dream wedding. There are a billion details and never ending 'to do' lists. You don't need to worry about anything you shouldn't. And you shouldn't worry about your photographer. Again, Tom knows what he is doing. On your wedding day a bride feels amazing, you look amazing, you have the hair, the dress, the veil, the shoes - it's all coming together. I was there and I felt even better knowing that I had a photographer who could capture exactly how I felt and make me look even more beautiful than I already felt. Number two - Tom listens to the bride and groom. Tom is such a great listener. Tom truly invests into YOUR day and YOUR experience. As Tom is focused, yet felxible and easy going and invested in you as a couple - families LOVE him! Families immediately respond well to Tom. THEY can see how invested Tom is in the bride and groom and the entire gaggle of people that come along with them. Bottom line. I did my reseach and yes, there are a lot of great photgraphers in the Twin Cities. These photographers offer comparable photographic styles and packages. So you can be confident that there are no shortage of photographers. But I am so grateful that I chose Thomas Ward Photography. Tom invested in my day. Tom made me feel comfortable. Tom listened to me and my husband. I believe that Tom works harder than any other photographer in the Twin Cities (he scouts your wedding locations behind your back so that he is fully prepared. Tom stays longer than he should 'just so he doesn't miss a moment'). And why does he work that hard? - because he LOVES what he does and he loves using his talent to capture YOUR moments. You have one wedding day. I am thankful that mine was trusted to Tom of Thomas Ward Photography.

  • What was your favorite wedding photo? Our very favorite picture of what Tom did for us was the one he did out side the Wild Wood. It was very creative.
  • How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits? Just came around and took pictures never got in the way of getting ready. Yea there was good amount of posed photos as action shots. We could of used more "looking at the camera" shots.
  • What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers? We ended up getting the CD so we didnt have to order mandy photos from Thomas, But we did get the album and that was great. Yeah we did get the engagement session photos and they were amazing! Couldn't ask for better pictures.
  • How did the photographer make you and family comfortable? He was very clam, he was not a pushy photographer, took his time well working with everyone.
