Review: Ely Brothers in New York

  • We flew Ely Brothers to New York for our Long Island wedding. All the pictures that were taken were fabulous! We were really happy with all of them. Some favorites include: the pictures of the reception and group photo looking down from the balcony; pictures taken during the church service; bridal party photos on the beach; and the first dance photos.
  • Levi and Caleb are easy going and very accommodating. They didn't miss any part of our day, and were never in the way. They do an excellent job with candid pictures to capture the vibe or feelings of what's going on, as well as are great with portraits. They do an exceptional job with photographing objects in a creative and beautiful way.
  • We opted just to purchase our photos digitally, for our wedding ceremony and reception. As we were in the process of moving, we didn't want anything else! Both Levi and Caleb were present for our entire event, and both took pictures.
  • Both Ely Brothers are very professional and are easy to be around. Their presence alone is simply comfortable. Their personalities are relaxed and fun. We highly recommend them!

Review: Crisp bright colors, unique shots

  • What was your favorite wedding photo? The ones taken during the ceremony are beautiful-- but my favorite series might be the American Gothic-inspired black and white photos taken on this awesome porch in the neighborhood. An inspired decision.
  • How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits? They were well prepared when I got there, gracious and cool with everyone they interacted with, and totally unnoticed by me during the ceremony -- no crazy production crew vibe. Very unobtrusive. I couldn't believe the shots they got.
  • What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers? We selected one of the small packages with 8 hours of photographing, two photographers, a CD with several hundred photos, and some large prints. All for a very good price.
  • How did the photographer make you and family comfortable? They were relaxed and low key, just very likable all around. I'd seen their web site, so I was pretty confident the shots would be pretty great.

  • What was your favorite wedding photo? Can all of them be my favorite?
  • How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits? By being very personable and finding it easy to adjust to the personalities of the group, they blended very well, kind of like they were supposed to be there. They were basically anywhere that anything was happening. This was easily achieved because they acted as a team. Two photographers are better than one.
  • What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers? Copy of all the pictures as well as a digital copy.
  • How did the photographer make you and family comfortable? As I already said, they were very personable and quickly adapted to the personalities of the group very easily.
