- How did wedding planner make your day special? The days leading up to the wedding were totally stress-free for me because I knew she had all the details covered. We were totally relaxed for the rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception--people kept telling me I was the most relaxed bride they had ever seen and I kept telling them it was because of the coordinator.
- Useful suggestions, tips, wisdom your planner offered? TONS of things--the card box for the reception, numbering the reply cards for our invitations, having the guest book at the wedding (in addition to the reception), hiring a make-up artist with camera experience, putting the glass we were going to break at the wedding into a plastic baggie first, and I could go on--there were SO many little details I would not have thought of.
- How the planner reduced your inner-Bridezilla? I knew that once she arrived on-site (she came to Georgia for our wedding) everything was covered. She was there for every step of the planning process via email, phone and fax, and once she came in town I didn't have to worry about anything else; we *truly* enjoyed our wedding as a result!
- Value of a wedding planner? All of the detail-oriented support. And even though she made professional suggestions about everything if there was anything I wanted to change or do a different way, that was exactly how we did it--she was very flexible and attuned to our needs and wants. Also, we were trying to combine three different cultural/religious traditions (Protestant Christian, Orthodox Christian, and Jewish) and she knew SO much about each tradition that we were able to combine them all in a very special way.
