Omaha Wedding Venues: Joslyn Castle

What was your wedding theme? Décor? Setting? Warning, do not book your event with Joslyn Castle. It's a shame such a beautiful place is run so poorly. The wedding coordinator and staff did not arrive until 5 minutes prior to the event. The staff was rude and condescending to us and our guests. Then, they kept our $500 deposit because there were a few beer cans left in the bachelors room of the castle.
Flexibility of venue to meet your needs? The Joslyn Castle is not flexible. If you have an event there plan on bringing a mop/broom and cleaning materials because if that place is not spotless, do not plan on them returning your security deposit.
Have both your reception and ceremony there? If so, make for a happy couple & guests? Only the ceremony was held at the Joslyn Castle. The ceremony was outdoors and no one entered the castle except the wedding party. We received approval from the coordinator to have rose pedals down the walkway prior to the event. Then we were charged extra for the staff to sweep them up!
Favorite part of the venue? The castle is nice to bad the staff is not. The staff seems nice until you are paid in full then watch out! Probably the rudest people I have ever come across and can't believe the way we were treated.
