My Favorite Summer Wedding Stationery Trends: Chevron Stripes, Starfish, & More!

Posted by The Broke-Ass Bride on June 18th, 2012

Brides, full disclosure: I spend an ungodly amount of time looking at wedding stationery. If you think you've spent an inordinate amount of time in the last year or so ogling pretty invites and save-the-dates, multiply that by 4. That's how many hours I've clocked wading through wedding stationery options - not just for myself of course, but for BRIDES EVERYWHERE. That being said - here are my current fave seasonal stationery trends:

Storybook: Have you noticed? Fairy tales are HOT right now. With the popularity of flicks like "Snow White & The Huntsman," whimsical wedding stationery is experiencing a resurgence of popularity. If you've always fancied yourself a princess bride, you'll be sure to find these invites particularly appealing.

Chevron: I can't get enough of this summery, retro zig zag pattern. I've seen it on everything from cakes, to b-maid dresses, but of course, chevron really knows how to show its stuff on a sexy piece of cardstock.

Buntings: The bunting craze is outta control! They can no longer be confined to cake toppers and table decor! Remember, your wedding invitation sets the tone for your entire event - and if you want to set the tone speedometer at "festive and fun" - this is the perfect way to do it.

Seahorse and Starfish Wedding Invitations

Nautical: Stylish weddings, ahoy! It's certainly not a a new trend, but those naughty nauticals really know how please an aesthetically inclined bride-to-be. In 2012, I'm absolutely obsessed with sea critters - like seahorses and starfish. An adorable idea for a beach wedding, if I do say so myself.

We wanna know, brides - what's your favorite wedding trend from this season?
