How to go green while you're wearing white.
The Everything Green Wedding Book by Wenona Napolitano
Rating: 4 out of 5 veils
Summary: Helpful information on eco-friendly weddings and living an eco-friendly life, as well as general wedding planning information. As a bonus, the book has a useful timeline and checklist. The recipes, craft ideas, and environmental information will keep this on your shelf long after your wedding is over. Not the only wedding book you’ll need, but a good basic to have.
Best advice: “Being green is not an all-or-nothing endeavor. You can do as little or as much as you are comfortable with. What matters is that you do something: every little bit counts.” (p.5)
Advice we aren’t quite sure about: Having a 1970s or other era-themed wedding to take advantage of resale items. I understand the sentiment, but there are lots of ways to be green without turning your wedding into a festival of kitsch.
