Dear Ask the Experts,
What's the rule of thumb one should use for cost when purchasing a wedding gift? I just heard that it's the cost of two plates at the reception. But how does one know what the cost of two plates is? Especially if one is completely ignorant on the costs of such things?

Dear Experts,
Do wedding vendors who own their own businesses expect a tip? In my mind, if you’re a planner or florist, and you own your business, you set the price that you think is fair for your work, so it’s different than tipping a waiter who works for someone else and whose salary... (more)
