A peplum is a mini or short overskirt (or ruffle) affixed to the waistline of a dress. It adds a little something special to the wedding dress silhouette, and does wonders for brides of all shapes and sizes! Peplums create curves for brides with boyish frames and camouflage larger hips and bottoms. So we say hooray for the peplum trend!
