I found Terry Fox almost twenty years back when I bought her book, Terry Fox Fashion Collection: 10 Garments to Make From Start To Finish. It was loaded with images of her out-of-this-world creations with detailed instructions on how to put together the simplest shift to intricately boned and lined ballgowns and evening wear. Designing over 30 years in The UK, Terry has brought the corset to an art form both as a separate and component on a full ball gown. These pieces confirm her passion for costume as well as inventive use of fabrics.
Terry has one of the most interesting design backgrounds. She apprenticed and learned couture techniques from Zandra Rhodes and The Emmanuels (Princess Di's wedding dress designers). From there she developed a style and launched her own special occasion line selling to Harrods of London among other high end stores. These gems are from the Vintage Two Collection--one of four collections, each as beautiful as the last... Plus a few heavenly bridal headpieces and hair combs from the Accessories collection. You're welcome!
Do you love the luxury and opulence of these gorgeous gowns? Or is your dream wedding dress more sleek, streamlined and minimally adorned?
