Wedding dresses with romantic floral appliques, embroideries, and embellishments are definitely on-trend for 2013. In fact, I can't think of a single designer collection unveiled during New York bridal market that didn't include a bloom-adorned number or two. Such a pretty trend!
But Douglas Hannant went off the beaten path with a totally new take on florals for Fall 2013, and the stunner above is a perfect example. Doing romantic floral embellishments in non-romantic colors was a risk, but the end result was breathtaking. To me, the silver and gray blooms cascading down the bright white, curve-hugging mermaid is perfection... do you love it too?
Beyond edgy florals, Hannant included plenty of alluring illusion touches, eye-catching beading, and sleeved confections in his Fall 2013 collection. Plus, accordion pleats in a variety of sizes (from teeny tiny to XXL) for a whimsical walk down the aisle.
Which of these Douglas Hannant wedding gowns are just your style? Are you drawn more to the sultry mermaids or fairytale ball gowns?
