Have you ever seen a beautiful evening gown and wished it came in white so you could wear it down the aisle?
It's always exciting when a favorite designer goes bridal. Anne Bowen is the latest eveningwear designer to apply her luxury red carpet sensibility to a range of wedding gowns, with prices starting at $2,500.
Debuting her collection during New York's Bridal Fashion Week, Bowen said her wedding dresses are "simple, fresh and non-traditional."
Models walked down the runway sporting gowns made of silk taffeta, tulle and organza with accents of Swarovski crystals. At least three of the dresses featured a flirty and modern knee-length hemline, while another had an elegant removable train.
"My pieces offer a simple yet creative interpretation of the purity, elegance and individuality brides seek for when looking for 'the dress'," Bowen said.
For readers who are just as interested in the accessories as the dress, here are some details: Bowen's models added a bit of sparkle with semi-precious and precious stones such as tourmaline, amethyst and peridot.
Perhaps to emphasize the idea that brides are rare flowers, the models also carried purple-king vramda orchids, which can take up to 10 years to grow.
