Not every bride dreams of being a princess on her wedding day, but it's safe to say that some do - and a dreamy wedding gown can be just the ticket to living this fantasy.
If high-octane romance and fairy tale touches are your thing, you may want to check out Reem Acra's spring 2010 wedding gown collection, which she unveiled recently in New York.
According to Fashion Wire Daily, the princess-inspired wedding dresses on display were lush, romantic and ornate, with unique beaded accents and intricate, asymmetrical pleating.
The website also describes two unusual gowns featuring screen-printed designs in gold, a technique not often used for wedding dresses.
"I had been dreaming about doing it for a few years," Acra told the news provider. "So I wanted to do everything that I had dreamed about."
A number of celebrities have sported Acra's lavish gowns on their big day. Most recently, Brooke Mueller wore an off-the-shoulder Reem Acrawedding gown when she wed Charlie Sheen in May 2008.
Meanwhile, Marcia Cross showed off the designer's romantic styles not once, but twice: the first time in character on Desperate Housewives and the second time when she tied the knot in real life with Tom Mahoney in 2006.
