Chelsea Clinton wedding rumors abound

Is she or isn't she? Despite denials from Bill Clinton's spokesperson, rumors that Chelsea Clinton is in the midst of wedding planning still persist on the internet.

Over the weekend, the Boston Globe reported that the former first daughter was set to tie the knot with boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky in Martha's Vineyard this summer.

Not only that, but apparently actors Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen would be opening their home for the big event, even doing some anticipatory renovations on their Chilmark property.

However, Matthew McKenna - a spokesperson for the former president - contacted the paper to deny the reports.

"She's not getting married on the Vineyard or anywhere else this summer," McKenna told the newspaper. "It's absolutely not true."

Maybe all the excitement can be chalked up to a hunger for more presidential-related glamorous events, particularly since we know Sasha and Malia Obama won't be walking down the aisle for at least a decade or two.

Meanwhile, Cape Cod wedding vendors and business owners told Cape Cod Times they had been excited about the rumor as well.

"Something like this would be gravy," local restaurant owner Kell Hicklin told the news provider. "We were very excited."
