Some couples say their vows - and others also choose to get them tattooed on a part of their body.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, who starred together in Step Up and tied the knot on July 11 in Malibu, got matching skin art to celebrate their nuptials.

People.com reports that their honeymoon in Bali was interrupted by a nasty encounter with food poisoning, but the couple decided to commemorate the romantic trip nonetheless.

They got matching tattoos that read "side by side" in Balinese, a phrase which was taken from their actual wedding vows.

"We weren't going to do each other's names," Tatum told People. "We wanted to do something symbolic. It was a joint decision."

Tatum and Dewan are not the only celebrities to use ink to demonstrate their commitment to each other after tying the knot.

Tony Parker got the date of his 2007 wedding to Eva Longoria tattooed on his ring finger. And Beyonce and Jay-Z also have matching ring-finger tattoos with the Roman numeral "IV," according to the Huffington Post.
