It's not as dirty or as dangerous as one may initially think.
But after having their first date and subsequently falling in love, a Boston couple has decided to return to the spot where they first met: The Marshfield Fair's demolition derby.
It was in that locale seven years ago that Adena Rosenthal, 39, and Benjamin Zack, 37, met and have celebrated that anniversary every year in that place, the Boston Globe reports.
So it makes sense to return to have the nuptials, as well as to incorporate the site's activities - namely the derby cars.
Last weekend the couple was to wed just before the Figure 8 Racing Finals, which would have been when the vehicles raced around a path resembling an infinity symbol. However, Hurricane Danny got in the way, forcing the couple to move their nuptials into a barn.
At the end, wedding guests were given the opportunity to visit the concession stand, where they got fair-like food as a treat.
And, like the ceremony itself, the newlywed couple was nontraditional with their attire. In lieu of a wedding dress, Rosenthal wore a gown with sneakers while her new husband wore a tux top and shorts.
