Bachelor Jason Mesnick proposes to Molly

Remember The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick? He chose dark haired beauty Melissa Rycroft at the final rose ceremony, but then later changed his mind - very publicly - and got back together with runner-up Molly Malaney instead.

Now it seems that Jason and Molly are getting their happy ending, after he offered her an engagement ring and a proposal, People.com reports.

Apparently, the two flew off to New Zealand - the setting of the final episode of The Bachelor - and Jason attempted to correct the "mistake" he made during the rose ceremony by popping the question to the woman he loves.

But not everyone sees the move in a purely romantic light. For example, E! News pointed out that the pair were flown to New Zealand as part of a tourism campaign to promote that country to an American audience.

Plus, the idea of proposing twice in the same country - to two different women - might strike some as a bit odd.

And, of course, there will always be some fans of The Bachelor who will never be happy about the couple's wedding planning, because they are still mad at Jason for dumping Melissa on national television.

But Melissa has moved on from those dark days, making high-profile appearances on Dancing With the Stars and Good Morning America - and getting engaged to Tye Strickland.
