Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley had their honeymoon in Hawaii. So did Bill and Melinda Gates, Katharine McPhee and Nick Cokas, and Jenna Bush and Harry Hager.
Hawaii is a classic honeymoon choice for famous people and ordinary folks alike. Now, a new analysis by MSNBC.com finds that the island chain is still the most popular location for American honeymooners.
In second place, the article has lumped together the entire continental U.S. - including destinations as diverse as Las Vegas, Disneyworld and Napa Valley.
That option is followed by Jamaica and Mexico - where Jaime Pressly and Simran Singh recently enjoyed their honeymoon.
In the number five spot on MSNBC.com's list is Niagara Falls. Not only is this destination known as the "honeymoon capital of the world," but it will long be known as the place where Jim and Pam from The Office said their vows.
Rounding out the list - compiled using tourism stats, survey findings, sales numbers and anecdotal evidence from players in the wedding industry - are France, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, St. Lucia and Italy.
