Will Nicole Richie be shopping for wedding dresses soon, or has the mother of two already tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Joel Madden? There hasn't been any reports of the pair sporting wedding rings, but it seems that only a Freudian slip or a top-secret wedding ceremony could explain away Richie's response to a question in court.

Her lawyer referred to Joel Madden as Richie's husband while questioning the reality star on the witness stand, and Richie did not correct him, according to People Magazine.

Richie was in court seeking a restraining order against two paparazzi who rear-ended her car earlier this year. When referring to the accident, the news source reports that Richie's lawyer, Mark Geragos, asked her, ""Did you call your husband?" and Richie responded "Yes."

The reality star has been dating Madden, a member of the band Good Charlotte, for several years. The pair have two children together: daughter Harlow, 22 months, and son Sparrow, 9 weeks, according to People magazine.

Richie's testimony only adds fuel to the fire, as it was speculated in October that the couple had obtained a marriage license and were planning a private wedding ceremony, reports rightcelebrity.com.
