Will Johnny Depp ever get married?

Johnny Depp has just joined the likes of fellow actors Brad Pitt and George Clooney by being named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2009. The 46-year-old is the father of two children, with long-time girlfriend, French actress and model Vanessa Paradis.

There have always been rumors about a secret French wedding for the couple, and Depp added fuel to the fire when he reportedly went shopping for engagement rings earlier this year, according to People.com.

At the time, The New York Daily News speculated that the pair might tie the knot in a small ceremony in a chapel at their French estate, but no wedding seems to have taken place yet.

Will Paradis soon be narrowing down wedding dresses? Though she and Depp have both claimed that they will not be getting married, Depp reportedly told the news source, "If she ever said, 'Hey, let's get hitched', I would do it in a second."

Vanessa herself hasn't ruled out marriage either. Of their relationship, Paradis told People magazine last year that "I'm more married than anybody can be – we have two kids [Jack, 6, and Lily Rose, 9]. Maybe one day, but it's something I can really do without."
