A surprise marriage proposal during a romantic hot air balloon ride that boasted beautiful weather and a breathtaking view of Ohio in the fall what could go wrong? (Well, probably a lot of things). But in this case, an otherwise flawlessly executed proposal was ruined when the groom-to-be accidentally lost the ring.
CBS news reports that pastor James Ng had the
engagement ring tucked into his camera case for safe-keeping, but he accidentally dropped that case mid-flight, and it plummeted to the ground below.
Amazingly, all was not lost. Ng still proposed to his girlfriend, Sonya Bostic, and she said "yes." Even more unbelievable is that the camera case and ring were both recovered a week later at the West Branch State Park east of Akron, the news source reports.
When Ng was forced to reveal his plans to Bostic, she wasn't worried about the ring. In fact, the bride-to-be told The News Herald, "I completely forgot about the ring, I was just so excited that he was going to propose to me."
Now that's true love.
