Over the weekend the British press began to speculate that there might soon be wedding bells for Kate Middleton and Prince William.
When the Sunday Telegraph reported that Prince William and Prince Harry have announced that in the future they will take legal action over aggressive photographers who display "intrusive and unacceptable behavior," it lead many to think that the Royal Family was laying the groundwork for more news: that Prince William and Middleton are engaged.
The news would not be unexpected. The couple have been dating since they met at the University of St. Andrews in 2001.
Middleton seems well-suited for the role of a princess literally. The fashionable young woman has been on many best-dressed lists, and if the engagement reports are true, we're sure that she will have her pick of
designer wedding dresses for the big day. (And we can't help but wonder how many royal wedding planners the bride-to-be would employ.)
The announcement might be an attempt to prevent a media frenzy similar to the one that ensued when Princess Diana began her relationship with William's father, Prince Charles.
