Though the recession has affected the wedding budgets of many couples, opting for a less expensive wedding dress might be the hardest sacrifice for brides-to-be.

Happily, they might not have to make that choice! It seems that because engaged couples have been spending a little less money while searching for a little more bang for their buck, brides can now expect more pampering when they're shopping for wedding gowns, regardless of their price point.

According to RegisterGuard.com, in previous years, brides who planned to spend $1,000 or less on their wedding dress were likely to be relegated to sample sales or discount bridal stores.

However, in the current economy, women who plan to drop a grand on their dress can expect the royal treatment.

"There may have been a stigma in the past where brides maybe felt the more you spent on a wedding gown, the better it was, but the change in economy has opened everyone's eyes to the quality and style that can be found at lower price points," wedding expert Melissa Akey Drayer told the news source.
