Melissa Rycroft gives wedding planning scoop

Melissa Rycroft is an inspiration for single gals out there. Even though the brunette beauty was given an engagement ring from former bachelor Jason Mesnick, who rescinded his offer on live television, she continued on in her pursuit for Mr Right.

Now the girl is married to the love of her life, Tye Strickland. The former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader spoke with OneWed.com about how to plan a cost-efficient wedding.

Rycroft advises all gals headed to the altar to start with setting a budget.

"I think that's something that a lot of brides kind of lose perspective on - your ideas start getting bigger and grander and the details start coming into play," she said in a video on the news source.

However, Melissa also recommends trying to find interesting ways to save on the wedding gown of your dreams. For example, girls could flip through bridal magazines and take a design to a local seamstress who would create the dress for much less.

Finally, Rycroft thinks brides-to-be should search for venues that aren't super-expensive but still look fantastic. Instead of exchanging wedding vows at the Four Seasons, the Holiday Inn offers just as nice of an ambiance.
