- Lots of wedding dresses & tuxedos? Ask about your wedding style? Trunk show? Discounts? Melinda was my sales person herself. She really knows what she is talking about. She helped me find the perfect Jasmine gown. Even, though she is the only one that works there she was still able to give us all of her attention. She made us feel so comfortable, relax and I really enjoyed myself. She made me feel like planning another wedding in 5 years. I went in the last sale of the year, December 13, 2008. I got 20% off my wedding gown. and my bridesmaids also to 20% off and the guys got $20 off there tuxedo order.
- Wedding dress alterations or customization needed? What kind? I ordered my gown. So when my gown comes in I have the choose of using the lady that is in the shop of Melinda's or going with my own lady. Melinda did tell me that I will need a hem and work down to the bust area. Also, I need my gown bustled.
- Purchase wedding accessories (think shoes, tiaras, jewelry, lingerie, tie, pocket square, cufflinks)? What kind? I purchased my bridal shoes, and tiara. My tiara is from Bel Aire Bridal. My (8) girls ordered there shoes also, and were perfect with there bridesmaids gown.
- Recommend this bridal shop or tuxedo rental? What did you love most? It was to busy when you walked in. Brides on top of each other. I was able to take my time and try on as many gown as I wanted. I also like it because not only are the gowns (bridesmaid and mothers) affordable, the selection is great. And, I am able to order my tuxedo right at Melinda's to match my bridesmaids gowns.

- Lots of wedding dresses & tuxedos? Ask about your wedding style? Trunk show? Discounts? I found my dress through a drunk show. It was a beautiful dress made my Jasmine. I was told the Jasmine dress can be altered however you want and I ordered a sweetheart neck, but of course it wasnt ordered correctly.
- Wedding dress alterations or customization needed? What kind? I had my dress altered there because I thought it would be smart to have everything done at the same place. I was told it would be between $200-$300, but it was $550!!!!!!!!! I was not happy, but there was nothing I could do about it since it was done. I fought about the prices and called every shop in Richmond to compare prices. No other bridal shop in Richmond would have charged over $300. My bridesmaids had to pay $110 and anywhere else would be $40-$60. I complained about all of this, but Melinda(the owner)says the alterations are done seperate from her shop;eventhough I wrote the check out to her.

This was the worst of everything that happened at Melindas. She forgot to order the shoes and when I called to pick them up she ordered them. They came in 1 week before my wedding and they were so bad she had to dye a new pair herself. She wouldnt give them to my friend when she went to pick them up, so we told Melinda to send them in the mail. We found out 3 days before the wedding that she sent my mother's shoes to my old apartment!! It was a nightmare and my mom never got the shoes.
- Recommend this bridal shop or tuxedo rental? What did you love most? I had the worst experience at Melindas Bridal and would never recommend anyone to go there!!!! The problem is the only worker is Melinda and she doesnt remember anything. Other shops know what there doing and know what it means to be organized. My weddding turned out to be beautiful and everything turned out great, but I wouldnt want any bride to have to be put through the expericence I was at that shop!!!
