4 Bridal Beauty Resolutions for the New Year

By admin, Published Jan 13, 2012

The time leading up to your wedding will be both stressful and exciting. You’ll want to feel like the day is as perfect as it should be, and of course, knock your groom’s socks off with how stunning you look!

No wedding day is flawless and yours won’t be. Resign yourself to this now so you’re not disappointed when a small hiccup pops up. But when it comes to looking drop dead gorgeous, success is within your reach! Just follow these four, very easily kept New Year’s beauty resolutions that feed body, mind, and spirit:

Resolution #1: Bye Bye Bulge  It's at the top of every bride's resolution list. Losing weight. After all, you want your dream wedding dress to fit you like a glove but you DON'T want to feel like a stuffed sausage! A vigorous exercise routine can only add to a bride's exhaustion with all the planning she's doing. Yoga and walking are two easy ways to shed pounds. Not only are they relaxing, but they give you some much-needed "me" time. Yoga is proven to make the body leaner, and walking is the most relaxing form of cardio around. Listen to relaxing music to make the experience even more calming and enjoyable.

Resolution #2: H2 Oh!  Water has so many beauty benefits! It promotes clear skin, bright eyes, a faster metabolism, head-to-toe hydration, an elevated mood, and can even make you more productive. Try to drink eight full glasses of water a day.

Resolution #3: Spoil that Smile  A bride is smiling all day long, and hopefully all night (wink wink). Teeth whitening is an affordable splurge that can make you feel more confident. A brilliantly white smile is sexy, and easy to get! It’s important to do some research beforehand to see what type of whitening is best for you. From Seattle to DC, dentist offices offer a variety of services from laser treatments to take-home whitening trays. And if you keep your eyes peeled, you may be able to score professional whitening services for a steal from a daily deal site like Groupon or Living Social.

Resolution #4: Motivate!  Every bride-to-be gets discouraged at some point, because planning an event of this magnitude can be frustrating! Not to mention the undeniable stress that comes with such a huge commitment and expenditure. Find a motivational quote or two and display them at your home or office. Read and recite the quotes each day, and remember… Motivation breeds confidence, and confidence makes you beautiful!
