Braids have been hot for quite some time... but in 2011 they take a festive turn, gracing white aisles across the country.
We love the idea of incorporating a stylish braid into a classic wedding hairstyle
. Check out the photo above... this curly-haired bride chose a romantic loose updo with a chunky braid framing her face. Once you look at the images below, you'll see that braids can make a wedding day appearance in lots of unique ways.
Although bohemian brides
have long adored the braided look, today traditional and modern, vintage and offbeat, ALL styles of brides can rock this look.
If you'd like to take the braided updo
hairstyle (featured in the last photo) for a test drive, follow the three simple steps below. And let us know if the finished look is a success!
Prep damp hair with volumizing spray and blow dry with a bristle brush.
Section hair and braid around the hairline from behind one ear, over to the other ear and continue braiding to the ends.
Roll braid up into a bun, secure with bobby pins and a hair tie if needed and voila! You're done!
