Country Gardens: Inspiration for a Wedding in the Wine Country

By Amy-Jo Tatum, Published May 23, 2014

One of the best things about my job as a bridal gown designer is working with creative wedding professionals. This styled shoot was one of the most incredible I've done so far. Each and every vendor on this project contributed a unique set of talents creating today's mix of remarkable eye candy. Brainchild of florist and event designer Victoria Marshall, the fusing of flowers and greenery amid acres of carefully cultivated gardens in the wine country has to be one of the best themes there is. There are no words for Victoria's bouquets and table artistry. Roses, peonies and ranunculus both living and silk, were fashioned and worked onto sashes and worn in the hair. This was all captured by photographer Shona Nystrom of Studio 7 Teen.  One of the most devoted shooters I've ever had the pleasure working with, she understands how light works and her images have a dreamlike, ethereal quality, yet are grounded in the reality of the moment. The biggest bonus of all had to be shooting at the historic Madrona Manor Inn in the heart of the wine country. Built in 1881, it's an estate on eight acres showcasing Victorian architectural splendor with several houses and a cottage interspersed through the woods and gardens. In other words, the ideal place for a wedding. Indulge in this amazing eye candy below and Pin all the details you are sure to fall in love with!
