Happy Monday, hope you enjoyed your long weekend!
Remember a few weeks ago when Jamie pointed us toward paint cards as a way to get inspiration for wedding colors? In Real Simple, one of this month’s “New uses for old things” has an idea for folding the paint cards over and making place cards out of them. I tried it this weekend for a family brunch, and it really brightened up the table. Obviously, not the way to go for a formal event, but it could be a fun touch for a rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, or bridesmaid lunch, especially if you use variations of your wedding colors.
If you're wondering why you'd need place cards for a casual event, they can be a HUGE help for helping guests who are bad with names, or those who don't know too many people. If you have a lot of single people coming to the rehearsal dinner, different colored place cards can be a good conversation starter. If you're feeling generous and want to share the love, create an ice-breaking game where people have to find a card that matches theirs. Make sure to "match" any singles that you think would appreciate it!
