Featured Bridal Shoot by Becky of Ravenberg Photography
For a bride who doesn't want her groom to see her in her dress before the wedding, or who doesn't want to take time on the wedding day with individual portraits, a bridal photo shoot can be a great idea. As a photographer I love to do bridal shoots to get to know my brides better. It helps me to get to know their personalities, and gives me a chance to figure out what shooting angles are most flattering to that particular bride.
All of these photos were taken in downtown Salt Lake City near where Krista (the bride) and her mom both went to school. The photos were taken in an old restored train station and in a restaurant. Krista's mom laughed as she told us that it actually ended up being the restaurant she and her husband went to celebrate her pregnancy with Krista. The bride wanted a high fashion look to her photos. To achieve that I set off flash bulbs in the background to give it a 1950's paparazzi feel to the photos. Her pill box hat also helped her pull off the look, and I was so impressed that her mom made it for her!
