Once Upon a Time…Vintage Bride Chic

By Amy-Jo Tatum, Published Jan 20, 2012

I'm always picking up tidbits here and there about my first love, vintage fashion.  Last week I learned that dresses that date back further than 1920 are still intact because they're made of 100% cotton.  I always knew cotton is a strong fiber, but to last a hundred years?

These intricately embroidered and crocheted gems were once upon a time considered day frocks--the kind of thing you put on to walk about town or go about your biz.  Fast forward a century and what do you think? Wouldn't they be perfect wedding gowns for the bride who loves Edwardian and/or that pre-1920s Out of Africa chic?
