Rock 'n Roll Bride: RnR Bride part deux

About Rock 'n Roll Bride Hello and welcome to guest blogger RnR Bride part deux. I hope you enjoyed my first post and have been chomping at the bit for more…but if not then don’t tell me, I’ll only get upset.

I am been a massive fan of Sloan Photographers. I love featuring their edgy, unique photographs on Rock 'n Roll Bride and I always check their blog for new and exciting weddings. When I stumbled across this little gem I knew it was the perfect wedding for my second Savvy Scoop post. Not only are these photographs bloody gorgeous, but they are full of some great inspiration that you could easily steal and use in your own wedding/wedding outfits. If you’re not sure about a veil on your wedding day, why not go for a beautiful vintagey, diy headband like this one – you can make one easily with a plain headband, some cotton and a lacy appliqué detail (which you can find in most bridal sections of haberdashery or fabric stores.) If you’re after some more headwear inspiration like this, I featured another fabulous photo session with a similar vibe, also by Sloan Photographers, a while back on RnR Bride- click here - where the bride actually made her headband out of pieces of her Mother and Grandmother’s wedding dress…now that’s what I call something old! Anyway, as usual, I digress…. I also wanted to draw attention to the Groom in this scenario. I was recently asked by Wedding Ideas Magazine if I had any handy hints for Grooms-to-be…and I had just this to say: “Have your own opinion and don’t let your Bride-to-be tell you what you want!” Now I can’t be 100% sure, but the impression I get from these images is that this Groom, super stylish as he is, had a hell of a lot to do with what he wore – from his beautifully cut suit, to his brightly coloured tie to his uber comfy trainers. I seriously love this look. There’s nothing sexier than a man in a suit with a casual twist. Oh and one final note before I shut up and you can finally lust over these photographs, is to draw your attention to the bride’s shoes…in fact I don’t even really need to say anything, just to draw your attention to them and to mutter, “coloured shoes on Brides rock!” See you next week people! Rock ‘n Roll Bride promotes individuality and general awesomeness in a cookie cutter, pastel pink, poufy dressed wedding world. Don’t let the wedding industry define your day – let *you* define your day. Kat is a 24 year old wedding obsessive and blogger from Reading, UK.
