Featured Wedding: Matt and Lindsay

I'm a Boston photographer, and Matt and Lindsay were married in St. Louis, in mid-November. Destination weddings are a bit new to me, but anytime a couple is excited enough about my work to fly me to their wedding - well, that's about as flattering as you can get I think. From the minute Matt picked me up at the airport on Thursday I saw a couple as excited to be getting married as any I've ever met.
From Friday's rehearsal dinner with the wedding party and a small group of family and friends, until I missed my flight (totally my fault) on Sunday - spending the weekend with these two was a blast. I have to say though (in my totally photo-biased opinion), the best part for me was when on Saturday, after the ceremony, and after we shot the formals and bridal party photos and we got back on the bus instead of heading to the reception site, Lindsay told me we were going somewhere else special for photos. She hadn't mentioned anything about more photos when we'd discussed the plan of the day, so I was completely in the dark about our destination. Turns out that they had budgeted an extra hour for couples and bridal party portraits at an old train station nearby - and the images we created there were by far my favorites from the weekend. What an incredible surprise! Vendors:
