Spring 2010 Bridal Runway: Gilles Montezin Wedding Dresses

By Azure Nelson, Published Nov 3, 2009

This Spring 2010 collection is incredible! If you are a sophisticated bride looking for high drama, Gilles Montezin's Opera Collection was created just for you! This collection pays homage to the art form of opera by bringing together a complex combination of drama, sensuality, femininity and emotion... and each dress is more beautiful and unique than the last. We saw this fabulous line up close and personal while in NYC, and I must say, these photos don't do the gowns justice. I was literally blown away by how stunningly intricate these wedding dresses were. Like we've seen in many lines this season, flower appliques adorn many of Gilles Montezin's creations- one of my favorite dresses in this collection is the L'amour, with textured hand-pleated flowers throughout the dramatic, flowing skirt. And I love the cascading bands, ruffle details, and antique pleating on many of the wedding dresses. This truly is drama at its best. And aside from the beautiful wedding dresses, this collection also introduces an optional body shaper, Le Cinch™- "an abbreviated interpretation of the traditional corset that nearly doubles its predecessor’s figure-enhancing effects." Le Cinch accompanies every Gilles Montezin dress in the collection, allowing every bride to achieve that perfect hourglass silhouette. And even better, Le Cinch is also available for purchase separately, and comes in several colors. If I can be honest... it's a fabulous product, and is already on my Christmas list!
