Things To Start Doing Months Before Your Big Day

Are you getting married in the next couple of months? No? Find yourself a groom. If yes, then start doing these things in advance so that you big day can be a lot more than just picture perfect!

Try a New Hair Color

Most girls aim for a really dramatic change on their wedding day – a good dramatic change to be more precise. And getting a new hair color is arguably the most dramatic change you can implement after liposuction! Jokes apart, if you’ve got time – 3 months or longer, that’s probably the best time to try and experiment with a new shade on your locks to create a different hair look that complements your wedding dress (if you’ve finalized that detail that is). If it doesn’t work, you still have enough time to fix the mess without damaging your beautiful hair.

Start a Skincare Regime

Personally, you should always have an active skincare regime even if you’re not tying the knot. Having one just makes the job easier in the case of a sudden change in plans. Start consulting a dermatologist for advice on a regular basis. But if that’s not possible, then the very least that you can do is start a tried and testing  routine combining cleansing, toning, and moisturizing your skin every morning and night. Don’t exfoliate more than thrice a week though. You could also try out homemade skincare remedies in case you don’t want to rub too many potentially hazardous chemicals on your face and body. The point; by the time your big day arrives, you should have perfectly flawless skin.

Eat and Drink Well

In fact, eating and drinking the right things will serve a dual purpose. Not only will help you maintain your weight, but it will also help you enhance the appearance of your skin. Water helps to hydrate your body and skin and brings out your natural glow. On the other and fresh juices and fruits enrich you with high quality crabs that help to detox your body. So yea, eat healthy to stay young and beautiful till your wedding day and for years beyond that as well. Avoid fad diets; they’re useless and most likely you’ll regain all the weight after your married.

Get into a Corset

Way before your big day, you should try getting used to wearing a corset, or a waist trainer instead. Firstly, that’s going to help you get the much-desired hourglass shape that everyone’s after these days. Secondly, it’ll help you fix your posture and adapt to fitting into a figure-hugging wedding dress prepping you or the discomfort that you might experience weeks ahead. And lastly, nothing beats exercising in a waist trainer to get into shape before your big day.

Teeth White as Pearls

Though a lot of girls leave this for the week just before your big day, you could start off earlier for better and more permanent results. Visit a dentist for a teeth whitening treatment, or use strips or home remedies on a regular basis to bring out the whiteness in your teeth so that you can smile confidently on your big day. Also, you might want to practice smiling in front a mirror every day till you get married so that you can perfect the art of smiling even if you have to fake it!

Say Goodbye to Zits

Zits are the bane of every girl’s existence whether or not she’s getting married. And because this is for those girls who are about to get married in a couple of months, zits deserve special attention! Benzoyl peroxide gel works as a really good hack for a quick fix. On the other hand, a papaya mask, or some apple cider on your face are safe and healthy options or a zit-extermination regime. Mix in the plan with your basic skincare regime well in advance and you should have zit-less skin by the time your big day arrives.

Test your Cosmetics

A new line of cosmetics for the bride? Yes, why not? If you’re buying your regulars, then that’s ok, but if you’re experimenting with new stuff, then the few months or weeks before your big day are a good time to test the new cosmetics on your skin. You obviously wouldn’t want to end up with a disastrous reaction or allergy when you try them after you get married, or even worse, on your wedding day.

And lastly, try not to take too much stress.

Oh and don’t forget to try your wedding dress as well in case you’re losing weight!
