Similar to others, the wedding industry is trend driven. With new colors, fabrics, styles and themes coming and going it can be hard to get it just right on your wedding day. Something that may be attractive to the trend conscious bride is introducing a new concept for tables and chairs
into the mix. This idea has been on the rise for a few years, but at Luxe Life, we expect it to hit a high note in 2011!
Rather than upgrading from chair covers to chivari chairs, or your linens from poly to satin, taffeta, or dupioni, think outside of the box and consider this hot new approach to wedding reception décor
. There are many wedding rental companies
across the country that offer rental furniture that can really make your reception décor pop. Try renting a table that is structurally beautiful, get the look of a sophisticated dining room at a grand restaurant by opting for an upholstered chair rather than a chair cover or the popular chivari chair.
Although this wedding trend
has the potential to break the bank, there are ways to get the look without spending a fortune. One suggestion is to mix and match
the tables and chairs. You can create an amazing look that is guaranteed to have your guests
talking by incorporating both linen-covered tables with some that make a statement on their own. Also, try using “specialty” chairs at every other table rather than all of them. If the wedding budget
does not allow for these types of upgrades consider using them for just your “sweetheart” table. Rent a really amazing table or two, and thrown-like chairs fit for royalty.
Another reception table trend we see making a splash in 2011 is the “Kings Table.” Rather than using all round tables at your reception mix it up by incorporating square tables with the rounds or doing ultra long tables that sit 20 or more guests. Although it may be hard to envision these trendy choices within your reception, these pictures are bound to catch your eye!
