Chef Katherine King has planned and produced events, provided menu consultation and managed catering operations for more than twenty years. A 1984 graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Chef KK launched her career at San Franciscos Compton Place Hotel. Over the next two years, she worked her way up from a Chef at the Zuni Café to Dinner Chef at San Franciscos Post Street Bar & Café at the St. Andrews Hotel.
Chef KK moved to Los Angeles and as Chef at the exclusive Geoffreys of Malibu, she directed daily food operations. Next, she joined Ambrosia Caterers as Executive Chef and annual sales soared over the next five years under her direction. Throughout her career, Chef KK has developed original recipes and managed staff from 10 to 100. She has planned and directed some of the most notable galas in the including catering for the 60th & 61st Annual Academy Awards and the historic opening of the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA.
Chef KK now makes the Coachella Valley her home and is enjoying her six season. Her philosophy of originality and excellence ensures that each and every event is memorable!
