My simple wish as a photographer -- and my ultimate goal as your wedding photographer -- is to capture and preserve the genuine spirit of life to be cherished by you and your loved ones for the years to come.
What was your favorite wedding photo?
Lydia captured photographs that will always make me cry - she made me feel so beautiful and special on my wedding day. My very favorite photograph that Lydia captured, actually, was one of my dad and I dancing. She managed to snag emotions that were on our faces for perhaps a nanosecond, and preserve them forever.
How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits?
Full disclosure: Lydia is one of my dearest friends, so she was absolutely a wanted presence at our wedding. :) Still, she was completely unobtrusive - she was a quiet presence, working furiously. Even when some posed shots were needed, she got the job done quickly - and without interfering with the moment!
What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers?
Lydia presented us with a gorgeous book of our photographs - many of them were of moments and interludes that I'd forgotten. She utilizes amazing lens work to get the right feel and focus for every shot.
How did the photographer make you and family comfortable?
Lydia focuses on the profound moments that are happening when no one is watching; she gets so many beautiful photos of the wedding party and guests just being and just enjoying. I LOVED that! She worked efficiently to get the traditional posed photos, and I never felt like we were wasting time or going through a "photo shoot". Lydia managed to get wonderful photographs of my mother, who goes out of her way to avoid being photographed!
