The Arts Club of Washington provides an elegant and gracious site for receptions and events. The house, which once served as the executive mansion for President Monroe, is a National Historic Landmark. This Federal-era mansion offers a variety of settings for entertaining - from seated dinners in an art-filled gallery to receptions in the large walled garden, which may be tented.
The Arts Club of Washington offers full catering service for events held at the facility. We will prepare any dish you prefer for your event, including your own recipes. I like to customize the menu to meet your tastes, needs and budget.
Buffet service works most comfortably in the Monroe House, but several entertaining options are available.
Costs vary with the size of the group and the season. Full reservation requires a deposit of 30% of catering costs. Standard receptions are 4 hours, plus 2 hours for setup and an additional 1-1/2 hours for cleanup, included in the room rental fee.
Bands and dancing can be accommodated. The inside of the Arts Club is a smoke free environment.
