What was your wedding theme? Décor? Setting?
Our wedding theme was fall colors. We used the hotel's lounge for our cocktail hour, and it is decorated in orange, red and brown, so we didn't have to spend a lot for decoration. The chef helped us customize a menu with some fall treats, like individual apple pies ala mode, which my guests loved!
Flexibility of venue to meet your needs?
Very flexible! The weather turned out to be very nice for November, and at the last minute the hotel was able to accommodate some outside seating for our guests. They set up some of the pool furniture to create a lounge-ish setting on the terrace outside our ballroom. The furniture was orange so it matched with my color scheme.
Have both your reception and ceremony there? If so, make for a happy couple & guests?
Just the reception, our ceremony was at a church. The hotel was very easy to get to from the church and many guests stayed the night at the hotel. Our guests liked not having to worry about getting home and be able to relax and enjoy our reception.
Favorite part of the venue?
I loved the flow of the space - our ballroom connected to the lounge and both rooms opened onto the terrace, which had a view of the hotel's pretty pool. It was nice to have the lounge for guests to relax, in addition to the ballroom where we served dinner and had dancing, as well as the outdoor space. I also loved the staff, they were all very flexible and friendly. The hotel is small so ours was the only event going that day, but because of that we were treated like royalty!
