Mark specializes in fine-art B&W printing, environmental portraiture and photojournalistic wedding photography.
What was your favorite wedding photo?
A B&W photo of us at the end of the night when we snuck out of the reception to dance on the back patio. I loved my photos and loved the B&W framed print Mark gave us as our wedding gift. A complete surprise.
How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits?
Mark really found a way to capture all the moments during the day without being in the way. There were times during the ceremony where I didn't even see Mark and wondered if he had gotten the shot, but sure enough he had all the shots when we saw our proofs. He just knows how to stay out of the way and get all the details. He's a documentary type photographer, but he really took the time and directed the group formals that were important to our parents.
What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers?
We had an engagement session that included the DVD of the finished photos and a guest sign-in book, a beautiful flush-mount album, DVD with all the edited images of the wedding. Mark had a second shooter with him that day.
How did the photographer make you and family comfortable?
Mark had met my mom and dad the morning of the wedding and he really put that at ease. My dad told me that he liked that Mark walked in and introduced himself and shook his hand. That went a long way with him. I don't know how he did it, but he remembered all the names of everyone in the wedding party after being introduced to them in the morning.
