What was your favorite wedding photo?
Our favorite images would be a toss up of the candid shots during the reception, and our creative portraits. The candid images are outstanding; Steven has a way being that fly on the wall that’s unobtrusive, so when humorous, or emotional events occur our guests weren’t even aware they where being documented. Outstanding candid images.
Our formals (beyond the traditional family images) where highly creative and simply beautiful. I will say that this does require a bit of time, we where told in advance that we would need to budget at least an hour and a half between the ceremony and the reception. We where perfectly fine with this, but if you really want to move things along on your wedding day this could be an issue.
Over all simply outstanding works of art.
How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits?
Our candid images where outstanding, but I was very surprised when I saw the technical expertise displayed by our photographer. I had never seen a complete “mobile studio” at a wedding before. We had almost 800 images in our digital negative package, all of them where lit very well. Nothing dark or out of focus. A girl friend of mine went with a similar priced photographer and her images were dark and didn’t seem to be lit very well.
What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers?
We went with the gold package, so we got 8 hour coverage (which turned into all day free of charge), an included engagement session. You can buy prints but we just purchased the Digital Negatives for $650.00, nothing to special here. The engagement session was more then I expected. It’s clear the quality of the photos was of high priority, but it was made clear Steven wanted to get to know us personally so our personality would be reflected in the images.
How did the photographer make you and family comfortable?
You could tell that Steven really enjoys his work. He’s very personable, but professional. My mother actually had a closed head injury and is very sensitive to loud noises and rapid movement. I was very worried about her, every thing dealing with our formals was very calm and smooth so as not to upset her. Simply wonderful customer service.
