The Wedding Chapel at Harveys, located in Harrahs/Harveys Resort Hotel, is Lake Tahoes largest and finest destination wedding location. Ceremonies all seasons and locations.
What was your wedding theme? Décor? Setting?
Flexibility of venue to meet your needs?
The venue didn't even come close to meeting the overall needs of my clientele or the services they had contracted me for.
Have both your reception and ceremony there? If so, make for a happy couple & guests?
Favorite part of the venue?
The chapel itself is beautiful to look at and get married in. Unfortunately this chapel works on bulk numbers only, or "assembline weddings" as I prefer to call it. They shuffled through weddings all day long with only a half an hour allotted for each wedding and the photography, and every wedding was back to back!!! Therefore, for a creative photographer like myself, there were a lot of opportunties that didn't come to fruition because of the rediculous time constraints imposed by the chapel. What's worse was that several of the photo-ops that were present were taken away by the people who run the chapel so that their videography of the weddings wouldn't have the photographer in it. Something that the chapel needs to get a realistic grip on is that the photography taken at weddings will always be hanging on the walls of the homes that belong to the people who were married there, while the videography will only be brought out from time to time, if it's lucky to be seen at all before the next generation. Seeing the photographer do his/her job is a feature of a wedding, not something to leave out.
