Modern Photography with a Vintage Twist.

As a wedding photographer, I truly understand the timeless significance of my job; after all, somebody's great-great-grandchildren might be looking over my work one day. I work hard to delight my clients with beautifully and elegantly photographed weddings. My love for wedding photojournalism, easy-going personality, and skilled work combine to provide YOU with images that will truly last a lifetime.

I take great pride in my work and art and seek to capture the great diversity of activity and emotions that are inherent to a wedding day celebration.

Katana Photo is a first-class operation!

What was your favorite wedding photo?

One of a few is a candid shot Colleen caught of my new husband kissing me on the cheek at the table during dinner. I'm still not sure exactly when she took it, but it's a nice moment of us being tender with each other.

How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits?

We did not get the weather we were hoping for on our wedding day--instead of cool and sunny, it was overcast and had to bring in heaters at the last moment. But none of this phased Colleen; instead she made me feel better when she told me that an overcast sky is actually the best light for a photographer working outside. As in my note about my favorite photo, she is great with candids too, and I barely even knew she was there the whole time.

What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers?

I got engagement photos, a disc with all the images--even the ones that didn't turn out great, just so I had everything--and a mini-album with some of the best photos, which was very handy for when everybody starts asking about how everything went. And we had it all by the time we got back from our honeymoon, 2 weeks after the wedding.

How did the photographer make you and family comfortable?

Colleen was not intrusive in the least--like I said, we barely even knew she was there. She is also very warm and personable, which goes a long way, and never loses her patience, even when you're a bit stressed.
